The EZ Disc, Aero Chainring Guard and Front Derailleur Guard all come with a 5 year guarantee - warrants to the original end user customer of it's Products that its products are free from defects in material and workmanship. Supplier warrants to the original end user of its Products that Products that are damaged during use will be replaced. Supplier will, at its option, either repair or replace any part of its products that prove defective by reason of improper workmanship or materials. Repaired parts or replacement products will be provided by Supplier on an exchange basis, and will be either new or refurbished to be functionally equivalent to new. If Supplier is unable to repair or replace the product, it will refund the current value of the product at the time the warranty claim is made. This limited lifetime warranty does not cover any damage to any Product that results from improper installation, abuse, misuse, natural disaster, abnormal mechanical or environmental conditions, repair, or modification. If your return is accepted, you are responsible for posting back to us and EZ Gains receiving your returned item.  If posting from abroad please make sure its noted that it is a returned item to avoid import taxes. EZ Gains has lists of wheels and crank makes and models etc so we know in most cases what items fit your items, in some cases we may supply you with a larger disc wheel cover based on the make of your wheel for best fitting.

If you have ordered from aboard and you decided to return the item, unfortunately if you are in the EU or the 40 countries were taxes are paid by EZGains we cannot claim this back from your countries taxing system, this is a 21% tax 3% customs duties that will need to be deducted from your return also the shipping cost from our end. USA will not be subject for a tax deduction on return just the shipping cost will be deducted.

Both disc and rim brake versions are domed differently due to the design of the spoke positions. We have had occasions where people have managed to get the rim brake covers to fit the disc brake wheels too, but it's very rare that this works without issues. A rim brake will never work on a disc brake. We recommend that you purchase a cover for the wheel you are most likely to use it on.

Disc Warping:

Cable ties should be wrapped around one spoke and two holes with a minimum of 5 cable ties, this should be hand tightened and not pulled so tight it indents the disc. The main cause of warping is the binding screws are to tight, please select another size provided, in most cases we proved you with the correct size screw for you wheel, if you find its still not work try using a mix of the size screw failing that contact EZGains for advise.

Screws coming loose:

The binding screw covers are provided and advise to use these, only hand tight the screws, make sure you haven't caught the EZDisc between the screws. If the cable ties are to loose this will cause movement on the EZDisc and lead to screws possibly coming loose and cable ties snapping.

• Please ensure you centralize the EZDisc.
• The valve does not need to be exactly in the middle.
• You can just use a track pump or CO2.
• Derailleur rubbing on EZDisc 9/10 times the derailleur is bent or you have to micro adjust your Derailleur.
• 12 Cassette speed we have found that on a rare occasion you have to use a 0.5mm cassette spacer on the inside.

Just to confirm that, since the new rules have come into force 2024 we have had no issues with:

EZDisc 10-15 Watts saving.
the Chainring Guard 3-5
Watts saving and Front derailleur guard 2-5.8 Watts saving.

We have not received any
negative feedback from any athletes competing and no issues with the officials across Ironman/ITU/ETU/BTF /Word of Triathlon races.

We have since been in talks with a head
official at Ironman and he does not have an issue with the chainring guard and EZDisc.

The front derailleur guard has also been given the clear at Ironman Frankfurt by the head official, and been used by a number of professional athletes at Ironman Races. This has also been the case at other governing bodies at other sanctioned races.

All the above products have been used by professionals and amateur's with NO issues from officials.

Do not go for a cheap disc wheel as they have cheap hubs we tested this at Silverstone Sports Engineering Hub on the "rolling resistance machine" you are far better of using a good quality wheel and adding an EZDisc. We tested against the top end disc wheels on the market and ours performed the same . You also do not have to buy two wheels and you can take the EZDisc off on race day if needed and not have to carry two wheels abroad. "Gains without the Cost"

The disc covers are compatible with the majority of road and time trial recumbent handcycle single speed track bikes with 406 650 – 700c wheels.

1) You will go faster using an EZ Disc regardless of speed as long as you cycle over 25kph. If you take longer to cycle a distance an EZ Disc will save more time then someone doing it faster.

2) EZ Disc adds to the structure of the your wheel giving you more stability and adds to your road handling ability.

3) In windy conditions an EZ Disc does not feel any worse to control then a deep section wheel. In fact the reports I have had back, again say this has added to the stability of the bike @that.tri.guy and many others have reported this.

4) The difference between a disc wheel and an EZ Disc is a matter of seconds over 40k.....But using a cheap disc wheel with a cheap hub, will be slower then using an EZ Disc with a wheel and decent hub.

5) Very EZ to install and very robust unlike a disc wheel.

6) EZ Discs are legal for Cycling Time Trials and Triathlon.

 The facts are there is no other ISO accredited "I brought this up as Ironman regulations quote about equipment being ISO accredited or similar manufactures safety standard" x 3 Aero tested Patent Protected 5 year guarantee safety tested and Ironman approved disc wheel covers on the market, if your saving £1,000s why not get the best in the cost effective solutions available, the last thing you want is to stack it on your bike.

Please measure the full depth of the rim, this is from the top to the bottom excluding the tyre, towards the centre of the wheel were it meets the spokes, includes the brake track.

Measure the rim not including the tyre this is the top to the spoke.

The 650B is mainly for extra small bikes like the Canyon Speedmax and any bike larger then this are 700c.

The 700c is around 622mm in diameter. "not including the trye and to the edge of the rim to rim.

650B (585mm) being 18mm larger in diameter than 650C (571mm)

This product has been wind tunnel tested at (Silverstone Sports Engineering Hub) and is as fast as a top end disc wheel. The EZDisc has all the aero benefits of the EZDisc SL its just 1/3 heavier on average around 200g. - please see science page

Some people would suggest to remove a disc wheel or disc covers in windy conditions, however the wind actually increases the effect of the disc and therefore your speed. So we would say, never take it off and practice in the wind.

Rim tape (electrical tape) can be put between where you wheel meets the disc cover. This helps to protect from any marks being formed due to the friction between the wheel and disc cover.
Simply put a pencil line around the disc on the wheel and overlap your rim tape (electrical tape) on this line.

This is not strictly needed but is believed may give you an extra marginal gain.

You can use the rim tape around the wheel to protect it, or you can use the electric tape and use the rim tape supplied for the outside.

An easy way to apply the rim tape or electrical tape is place the EZ Cover on the wheel in a central position and draw round this with a pencil and then overlap this line with the tape or rim tape by about 3-5mm to protect the wheel.

The binding screws should pinch the disc tight against the wheel, but not pull the disc in.

If you feel you could use a shorter or longer binding screw, please contact me and I will send some out.

Chain whip and a cassette remover only. If you have a wheel with disc brakes, you will also need to remove the disc calliper which is usually removed using a cassette remover.

The rim brake version will not work on a disc brake, this is because a disc brake wheel is shaped different due to the brake calliper. There is a small chance the disc brake version will work on some rim brakes.
