EZ Hydro-Gains Fitting Instructions
*Please excuse the poor quality of our fitting videos. We are dealing with a significant number of orders and we will be updating these in due course.
Periodically check your screws on your hydro-Gains systems, a MASS of vibrations and weight transfers to this area.
Please do screws up to:
3 NM newton-metre or until a firm hand tight.
2 NM newton metre (Double Bottle Attachment) Or good hand tight
Please ensure you check the bolts are tight on a regular basis.
It's advisable to not use more then two 500ml bottles on the rear if full of hydration, the 500ml bottle tested faster then the 750ml bottles, however we have done a huge amount of weight testing to 33lb of weight and they still held firm, over 600,000 kilometres of road testing with 750ml bottles, but we can never predict how large a pot hole is or your situation, but what we will do is resolve a fair situation.
If the course is absolutely horrendous like the T100 London with over 40 speed bumps being hit at 40kph then you have the choice to run a single.
Adding extra security to the RBH will never go to miss on poor road surfaces in the way of Blue lock thread, this is commonly used across the PRO Field in all areas on the bike.

Bottle Tie
FREE WITH THE HYDRO-GAINS
Add extra security on bumpy road surfaces, adjust toggle to suit your set up, pull tight or tie a knot to secure. The toggle is not essential you can just tie a knot. The hole for the bottle ties is located at the rear of the fin. Take the elastic and thread through the hole, you may need pliers to pull the second elastic through. Next, stretch the elastic either around the nipple of the bottle or around the wide area of the bottle. Before you race assess the course and your setup to determine if you want the elastic ties. For example, if you are using TriRig Cages or Gorrilla Cages you may feel elastic ties are not necessary. Equally, you can use them at the start of the course where the road is normally more bumpy until you get out on the smooth open road. For example, TT riders rarely use our ties because TT courses normally have smooth tarmac and no speed bumps. Please see Video below.

EZ Extension Plate
This allows you to bring your bottle even closer to your butt, optimizing on your aero benefits, it's totally clear with all the testing we have done that the further forward the bottle and slightly higher up, the faster it is, bottles further back and lower down are a lot slower even leading into negative drag.
