The Aerodynamics:
The TriRig Kappa Capsule allows you to customise your BTA system to reduce aerodynamic drag. Filling in the space between your chest/ head and the bike reduces aerodynamic drag by reducing the region for circulating air to catch and pull back on your torso.
Wind Tunnel Tested to Save 6 Watts
Tested at Silverstone Sports Engineering Hub, several athletes have saved Watts through their BTA system incorporating the TriRig Kappa Capsule. This chart shows an example where Joran Driesen (Professional Triathlete) saved 6 Watts at 50 km/h by simply adding the TriRig Kappa Capsule.
Endless Customisation Options
The TriRig Kappa Capsule is a thin tubular design. This means adding it to your BTA system adds a lot of customisation options. In places where a traditional bottle is too large/ wide the TriRig Kappa Capsule can act as the perfect compromise. Allowing for comfort in your position and improved aerdynamics.
In a particular example, some athletes find that their legs catch on a bottom BTA bottle, the thinner TriRig Kappa Capsule solves this issue whilst also providing storage for non-fluid items.
