Chronos Bianco Cycling Shoe - Wahoo Speedplay Direct Mount
- LOWEST POSSIBLE STACK HEIGHT: Native 4-bolt Speedplay mount eliminates adapters, placing your foot just 8.5 mm from the pedal axle for unmatched pedal proximity.
- HIGHER PEDAL EFFICIENCY: Direct cleat integration shortens the ankle lever arm, improving stability and power transfer while reducing calf and Achilles load.
- INSTANT POWER DELIVERY: Heat-moldable carbon shell wraps the foot immediately, allowing effective power transfer even before full fastening out of T1.
- PERSONALIZED CARBON FIT: Full carbon shell can be heat-shaped to fine-tune width, heel hold, and pressure points for race-long stability and comfort.
- RUN-PRESERVING SUPPORT: Shell-based heel stabilization shifts load to hips and thighs, conserving lower-leg energy for a stronger run.

Description
With the Chronos Bianco Speedplay Edition, You Get as Low as Possible
Take your performance to the next level with the Chronos Bianco Speedplay Edition, featuring a native four-bolt sole design that eliminates the need for an adapter.
This direct-mount setup delivers a stack height of just 8.5 mm from the pedal spindle to the cleat interface, compared with 11.5 mm when using an adapter. It also sits significantly lower than traditional road systems such as Shimano SPD-SL (16 mm) and Look Keo 2 (17.3 mm).
Lower Stack Height for Efficient Biomechanics
This video shows the Wahoo Direct Mount version of the Chronos triathlon cycling shoe in action.
Integrating the cleat interface directly into the carbon-shell sole brings your foot closer to the pedal axle. The Wahoo Direct Mount block has an internal stack height of 7 mm, measured from the inside of the carbon shell—without the insole—to the cleat mounting surface.
This shorter distance reduces leverage on the ankle and calf muscles, helping create more direct power transfer, greater ankle stability and reduced muscular fatigue. The benefits can be particularly noticeable during high-torque efforts and the later stages of a race, helping you begin the run with fresher legs.
Rather than relying on additional closures or extra stiffness through the upper, the design uses sole geometry and pedal proximity to create a stable and efficient connection between rider and bike.
The Chronos Aero Long-Distance Cycling Shoe Gives You Wings
Experience outstanding comfort, efficient power transfer and minimal air resistance with an innovative cycling shoe designed specifically for triathletes. The Chronos Aero is engineered to support your performance throughout the bike leg and into the run.
An Aerodynamic Design With Measurable Gains
Aerodynamics matter most when riding solo and at higher speeds. The Chronos Aero uses a single dial-lock fastening system covered by a smooth lace shield with a zip closure.
Reducing surface texture and airflow disturbance around the instep helps lower drag compared with conventional closure systems. Wind-tunnel and on-road testing has shown small but consistent aerodynamic improvements, although the precise benefit depends on factors including yaw angle, foot position, speed and the comparison shoe.
Comfortable to Put On, Remove and Wear, even in the Rain
The shoe is crafted as a single piece, transitioning smoothly from the rigid carbon shell to the softer upper sections for comfort and ease of use.
Drainage holes in the carbon shell prevent water from accumulating inside the shoe, while the upper is made from lightweight, sustainable and antibacterial microfibre leather.
Efficient Power Transfer Before the Shoe Is Fully Fastened
Designed for faster transitions, the Chronos Aero allows you to transfer power to the pedals immediately, even before the shoe has been fully fastened.
The heat-mouldable carbon shell wraps securely around the foot, maintaining support and efficiency during hard accelerations and high-power efforts.
A Stiff Carbon Shell That Saves Energy for the Run
The solid carbon shell sole supports and stabilises the entire foot, particularly around the heel bone. Its shell-shaped construction helps reduce tension through the calves, allowing you to rely more effectively on the hips and thighs while pedalling.
This combination of support, stability and efficient power transfer helps conserve energy for the run—giving you an advantage when it matters most.
