The EZ AeroFlow1 BTA is here. It is a between-the-arms hydration system for triathlon and time trial bikes that carries up to 2 litres of fluid, stores your gels and saves 6 to 14 watts. We developed it in the wind tunnel with pro triathletes, then raced it at the IRONMAN World Championship in Kona. Released on 3 November 2026, it is available now.

What is the EZ AeroFlow1 BTA?

A BTA (between the arms) bottle system mounts on your aerobars, between your forearms. This is a fast place to carry fluid on a triathlon bike, because the bottles sit in the air your arms are already disturbing. It also means you can drink without leaving your aero position.

The AeroFlow1 takes that idea further. It combines hydration, gel storage and free speed in one system:

  • Up to 2 litres of hydration: a 1 litre upper bottle within the 250mm rearward limit, plus a lower bottle underneath.
  • Front gel storage: the aero nose carries 6 to 8 gels, with room left to stash empty wrappers.
  • 6 to 14 watts saved: developed through aerodynamic testing to put your bottles in a fast position between your arms.
  • Fully adjustable: 40mm stack, extendable to 85mm with risers, plus 10°, 15° and 20° angled spacers to level it up.

Wind tunnel tested, again and again

The AeroFlow1 was not finished on the drawing board. It went through session after session in the wind tunnel at the Silverstone Sports Engineering Hub, with pro triathletes Keith Murray and Jon Breivold on the bike.

A bottle system that tests well on its own can behave very differently once a rider is in position. By testing with real athletes in a real race position, the bottle position, gel storage and shape were refined for how you actually ride, not just how they look on a screen. From the tunnel to Kona

Then it went racing. Jon Breivold took the AeroFlow1 to the IRONMAN World Championship in Kona, carrying his bottles and gels between his arms, right where he could reach them without breaking position.

Kona is one of the hardest tests in triathlon for any hydration setup. Long hours in the heat mean you need plenty of fluid and fuel close to hand, and every time you sit up to drink you lose speed. The AeroFlow1 is built to solve both problems at once.

Why carry hydration between the arms?

For long course triathlon, how you carry fluid and fuel can make a real difference to your bike split. Between-the-arms hydration helps you:

  • Stay aero while drinking: no sitting up or reaching down to a frame bottle.
  • Fuel consistently: with bottles and gels in easy reach, you are more likely to stick to your nutrition plan.
  • Free up your frame: keep your cockpit tidy and your setup fast.
