EZ Gains Wind Tunnel Testing at Silverstone Sports Engineering Hub
What an amazing day at the Silverstone Sports Engineering Hub. We ran a full wind tunnel testing session with some seriously fast athletes — and the early signs were extremely positive. We’ve got loads of images and data to go through, but the results we were seeing on the day have us beyond excited.
Silverstone Sports Engineering Hub — wind tunnel testing with EZ Gains.
A huge thank you to the athletes
First off, a massive thank you to the incredible athletes who took part:
- Joe Skipper
- Fenella Langridge
- Caroline Livesey
- Sam Dickinson
- Izzat Roslan
EZ Gains is truly honoured to have worked with you all — and to have saved you a heap of watts on already super-aero setups.
EZ Gains is setting the tone for a strong start to 2026.
What we tested (and why wind tunnel data matters)
Wind tunnel testing gives you something outdoor testing can’t always guarantee: controlled conditions. That means you can isolate changes, compare setups accurately, and build a clearer picture of what actually improves aerodynamics — and what’s just noise.
Quick takeaway: small aero improvements can add up. When your setup is already dialled, the best gains often come from careful tweaks and validated data.
Capturing images and data across multiple runs.
Massive thanks to the engineering and support team
Huge thanks to Robin Matthews, aerodynamics engineer Bucky Custom Builds & Fits, who under major pressure worked tirelessly with our team. And a shout-out to Ben Redman and Will Hayes for preparing the riders perfectly for the tunnel. Absolute legends.
Dialling in setup and fit details before each run.
Behind the scenes: imagery, coverage and the EZ Gains crew
The The Brick Session podcast was on hand covering the imagery, and of course a big thank you to the entire EZ Gains team for making the day happen.
A proper team effort from start to finish.
Early impressions: positive signals, more to come
We’ve got so many images and so much data to go through, and the positive results we were seeing on the day have us genuinely buzzing. This is one of those moments where you can feel the momentum building.
Run-by-run refinements and data capture throughout the session.
This is just the beginning
This is just the beginning, more info to follow very soon. We’ll share a clearer breakdown once we’ve reviewed the data properly and packaged everything up in a way that’s useful (and actionable).
More insights coming once the analysis is complete.
Watch this space — we’ll share the key findings soon.
