Hydro Gains Shines at Ironman Swansea: A Breakthrough Weekend for Athletes and Innovation

What a weekend. Ironman Swansea proved once again why it's one of the UK’s most exciting and competitive triathlon events, not just for the elite field, but for the passionate and growing community of age group athletes pushing their limits on race day.

It was a true milestone event for EZ Hydro Gains, as we saw more professional and amateur athletes than ever choosing our aero rear hydration system to give them the edge.

Designed to be faster than traditional setups and even faster than no bottle at all, Hydro Gains is quickly becoming the go-to choice for triathletes looking to save watts without compromising hydration or position.

Pro Performance Backed by Real Results

The pro field in Swansea was stacked, and it was fantastic to see Hydro Gains featured across so many of the top athletes’ bikes. Kieran Lindars, who powered into a strong 3rd place finish, was one of several front-runners riding with Hydro Gains. Our very own James Teagle delivered the day’s fastest run split of 1:09, securing a brilliant 6th place finish, a performance we’re proud to be part of.

Hydro Gains was also trusted by top competitors like Tom Davis, Andrew Horsfall-Turner, Liam Lloyd, Sam Wordley, and Oliver Waymark. Each one is pushing the limits of performance, and choosing rear hydration that supports speed, stability and race-day practicality.

We're also excited to welcome Harry Palmer and Leon Chevalier, who will be integrating Hydro Gains into their upcoming race setups, further reinforcing how quickly this innovation is being adopted at the highest level of the sport.

But no female pros are using the Hydro-Gains just yet, so come on ladies…get on the gains!

A Day for Everyone: Age Group Athletes & Community Energy

While the pros put on a masterclass in endurance and pacing, what really stood out at Ironman Swansea was the energy, commitment, and camaraderie of the age group triathletes.

From first-timers to seasoned competitors, we had the pleasure of meeting countless athletes throughout the day who are serious about their performance and serious about their gear. Many stopped by to chat, ask questions, and even place orders on the spot. Seeing so many bikes in transition equipped with Hydro Gains is proof that the technology is resonating with athletes who want aero efficiency, hydration security, and real watt savings.

Why Hydro Gains?

For those unfamiliar, Hydro Gains is a rear bottle mount system that is Ironman and World Triathlon legal, designed to save up to 12 watts in a double bottle configuration, making it one of the fastest hydration setups available. Lightweight, stable and compatible with popular triathlon saddles, it’s no surprise to see it becoming a fixture on race bikes across Europe.

Looking Ahead

This week we're heading up to Leeds and we're hoping for a similar performance from athletes using the EZ Gains rear bottle mount. We’re proud to support the athletes who trust us to give them every possible advantage.

Whether you're aiming for the podium or chasing a personal best, EZ Hydro Gains is here to help you ride faster, stay aero and hydrate smarter.

Grab yours now and save some serious watts!
